TutDrop – A Tutorial Database

A few days ago I released a new website called TutDrop.com. Its main purpose is to help people find tutorials easily and for tutorial publishers to get their tutorials known! If you have written any tutorials or are looking to find new tutorials check out TutDrop at tutdrop.com

Its in its early stages so there might be some bugs and there aren’t that many features, so if you see anything that stands out or you would like to suggest a feature for it please send me an email at contact@tutdrop.com

Private Design Communities

Unless you aren’t very active in the designing community, you probably have heard of two great private communities for designers (as for Forrst it includes developers as well) that have really great talent on the website. I like the private design communities because it really weeds out the average designers, of course there are still average ones, but it seems like they tend to have more advanced designers.

I am a member of Forrst, but not of Dribbble. Even though I’m not a member of Dribbble I still visit it pretty frequently to look at all the “shots” that the players are submitting. The talent on those websites are really incredible and its fun to look at and get inspired on designing things and how good you could hopefully become!

Incredible CSS Icons

Incredible…

Check out these amazing iOS icons made in pure CSS! They are incredible. It’s certainly not the most practical way to draw icons but it sure is pretty neat that someone took the time to do it and how well they turned out! CSS3 is powerful and useful.

Another cool thing about them is that they are scaleable and look pretty decent when you make them really big or really small.

Hello! If you have been looking around on designSolid you may have noticed that it hasn’t been updated in a very long time! I’m sorry for the lack of updates and not releasing any new tutorials!

I’m am going to be releasing tutorials and a totally new design for (dS) right away! I just wrote a few tutorials and right now I am working on the new design, so if the design doesnt seem to look that great please be patient because I’ll hopefully be fixing it!

I hope you enjoy the new designSolid and all that I have planned for the future!

Welcome to the new DesignSolid

DesignSolid has a new look and new features! Currently there aren’t that many new features, but i will be adding some soon.Some of the new features are going to be a Forum, Video Tutorials (the Tutorial Theater) and some other secret features I’m not going to say. I think the new layout is great. Its unique, different, and just really cool looking! I hope you feel the same way about it!

I will try to write way more tutorials and much more often (in the begging I was updating it every day but then I got busy/ran out of ideas so I stopped for a bit and I started working on other websites). So I’ll try to release a tutorial/video about once a week. If you have any requests for a tutorial just send me an email and I’ll see what I can do!

There is probably things that need to be fixed on here so if you notice anything again let me know via email!

Well, I think thats it! Hopefully I will be posting some tutorials soon!

DesignSolid is a blog that will have quality tutorials to help you achieve a solid designing background.

There will mostly be tutorials on here but I may throw in some articles about things people ask or if I come up with an idea. If you have any tutorial requests post them in a comment or send me an email to hello@designsolid.com I would love to create a tutorial for you!

This theme is a nice but a little to simple and not custom so I need to come up with something better but tutorials are more important then the design of this site! So It will probably take a little while to get released.

Expect a tutorial soon and until the, rock on.
