Overview
Create a sleek looking button in Photoshop.
In this tutorial you will learn how to create a sleek looking button in Photoshop.
Step 1
Start with a new document, filled with a white background. Choose the Rounded Rectangle Tool, with a Radius of 5px. Then fill it with a teal (#188098)

Step 2
Select the shape layer and do a Select->Modify->Contract and put 1px.
Now create a new layer and select the gradient tool and with a foreground to transparent gradient hit D and then X then draw a gradient starting from the top of the button to about a little below the middle.
Change the Opacity of the layer to 44%.

Step 3
Ok, now your going to do the same thing as the step above but this time just hit D and start your gradient from the bottom instead of the top.
Change the Opacity of the layer to 55%.

Step 4
Again, select the shape layer and contract it, but this time contract 2px.
create a new layer and fill it with #188098.

Step 5
Select the shape layer, contract the selection (2px), make a new layer and create a black to transparent gradient from the bottom to about 3/4 of the way to the top.
Change the Opacity of the layer to 33%.

Step 6
Select the Rounded Rectangle Tool, with a Radius of 5px. and draw a small rectangle like this:

Fill it with white and set the Blending Mode to Soft Light and the Opacity to 33%.
